The Liberals have won a minority government. This means that throughout this session, they will need the support of at least one other party in order to pass any bill or budget. The NDP have said they'll support the Government's bills on a case by case basis and therefore have some leverage in steering the Liberal's policy priorities closer to their own.

There is one policy both Liberal and NDP members have voted in favour of and that will improve the health, well-being, security, and economic prosperity of all Canadians: Basic Income.  The NDP ran on establishing a Basic Income for Canadians in the 2021 election and we know at least 20 out of 25 NDP MPs today support Basic Income (that’s 80% of their caucus!). Now they have a chance to make it a condition of their support for the Liberals.

That is why we need you to contact the NDP and Leader Jagmeet Singh below and let them know that the most important thing the NDP can do to better the lives of Canadians is to make Basic Income the key condition of their support for the Government.
